Whether you live in a cosy apartment with a modern kitchen or a large family home with a classic kitchen design, we are always searching for different ways to best utilise our kitchen space and maximizing storage. Below are some tips on how best to maximise your kitchen storage space in your home.

When designing or renovating your kitchen, some design tips to keep in mind for maximising your kitchen storage space include:

Kitchen Drawer Space

Drawers maximise storage space, making it easy to access your kitchen utensils and areas that are otherwise not used efficiently. Extra-deep kitchen drawer options are perfect for kitchen pots, pans and lids. Choose shallow, extra-wide varieties with customisable are great for storing cutlery and cooking utensils.

Kitchen shelving

When designing your kitchen shelving, ensure that you best maximize horizontal and vertical storage space. Consider adding shelf dividers to double your kitchen shelf space in kitchen cabinets and under your sink to use the storage space.

Kitchen islands

Kitchen islands offer great storage solutions that are easily accessible while you work and entertain in your kitchen. Extra storage shelving can be added into the kitchen island to store all of your cookbooks, and other frequently used items, for easy accessibility.

Install kitchen shelving racks

Utilise the space beneath your kitchen cabinets efficiently by installing racks to store your wine glasses and they are readily accessible when you entertain in your kitchen.

Door mountable spice racks to the inside of kitchen cabinet and kitchen cupboard doors maximises the vertical space on doors.

Another great idea i’ve seen to make the most of the ‘faux’ drawer space you get in some kitchens is to remove the fake front and hang the kitchen roll in the remaining space. Cool idea and nice and tidy.
