Mark Clarke – Managing Director

Mark is the founder and driving force behind Harrington Kitchens.  His story is one built on perseverance, passion and people.

The dream all started with his love of design, coupled with a desire to provide a better customer experience. Thanks to Marks relentless drive, his little dream grew into the trusted brand that Harrington Kitchens has become today.

Early on, Mark saw that not all kitchen companies made customer service their number one priority, and quality as well was often compromised. Many of these companies did not even manufacture their own kitchens.

Determined to do better, Mark built a local factory that supported local jobs and brought quality manufacturing in-house. Ensuring he always had total control of the quality of the product he manufactured.

For Mark, it has never been about just building kitchens. It is about building trust, creating memories, and forming lasting relationships. He has literally poured his heart and soul into the business, ensuring every kitchen is crafted with purpose and every client is treated like family.

30 years on, Mark remains the steady smiling face behind it all. He leads with empathy not ego. Constantly checking in on the team, knowing everyone’s story and always asking “how was your weekend?”. His quiet leadership inspires a culture of integrity, warmth and excellence.

When not thinking about kitchens, Mark enjoys karaoke and practising his golf swing.

Michael Kyle – Paint Shop Manager & Purchasing Officer

Meet Michael Kyle, our dependable and highly efficient Purchasing Officer at Harrington Kitchens—who also heads up our custom paint shop. This dual role is crucial to the quality and consistency of every kitchen we create. By controlling our own paint process, Michael ensures that all custom joinery pieces are finished to the exact standard we expect, giving our clients beautifully consistent, high-quality results that set us apart.

With a background in painting aircrafts for the Airforce and later managing a team for Jetstar, Michael is a true guru of all things paint. He has been managing our paint shop for the past 16 years, combining technical expertise with an eye for flawless finishes.

In the purchasing department Michael plays a vital role in making sure every kitchen project runs smoothly, overseeing the sourcing and purchasing of all materials while staying on budget and maintaining our high standards. He is dedicated to sourcing the best products available to bring our designs to life, and his strong relationships with suppliers ensure that everything arrives when it’s needed.

Known for his attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and calm demeanor under pressure, Michael is the behind-the-scenes hero who keeps the wheels of our business turning. From managing inventory and coordinating deliveries to overseeing our custom paint shop, his contributions are essential to the success of every project we undertake.

Scott Whitehurst – Design Consultant

Scott Whitehurst is one of our talented Design Consultants at Harrington Kitchens. With a keen eye for design and a friendly, consultative approach, Scott is passionate about helping clients create kitchens that are not only beautiful but highly functional.

Bringing a wealth of experience to every project, Scott thrives on turning ideas into inspiring spaces. From the initial consultation to the final touches, he’s there every step of the way, listening closely, offering thoughtful guidance, and ensuring each design reflects the client’s vision, needs, and lifestyle.

Clients appreciate Scott’s down-to-earth nature, creative thinking, and ability to make the design process feel relaxed and enjoyable. His work combines style with a practical understanding of how people truly live and use their kitchens every day.

James Clarke – General Manager & Design Consultant

Meet James Clarke, our General Manager and Design Consultant at Harrington Kitchens. With a wealth of experience and a genuine passion for creating beautiful, functional kitchens, James brings a unique blend of leadership, creativity, and a hands-on approach to every project.

James began his career in joinery, working directly on the factory floor and building kitchens from the ground up. This hands-on experience has given him a deep appreciation for every stage of the process—from design and manufacturing to installation. James was honoured to win the Apprentice of the State award for trade shopfitting and detailed joinery, which further solidified his expertise. Having also held the position of Sales & Design Consultant, James has gained valuable experience in kitchen design, customer care, and more. His understanding of both the technical and customer-facing aspects of the business is one of the reasons our team runs so smoothly.

As General Manager, James leads with both heart and precision. His keen eye for detail, customer-first mindset, and down-to-earth personality make him a favourite among both the team and our clients. Whether he’s designing a dream kitchen or overseeing a complex project, James brings warmth, expertise, and a steady hand to everything he does.

Outside of work, James enjoys spending time on the greens, following in his dad’s footsteps with a round of golf.

 Craig Harmer – Design Operations Manager

Introducing Craig Harmer, our Design Operations Manager at Harrington Kitchens. With a natural flair for design and a passion for helping clients bring their dream kitchens to life, Craig is an essential part of our team.

Craig combines years of industry experience with a customer-first approach that’s both professional and personable. Whether he’s guiding clients through the design process or leading the sales team with clarity and confidence, Craig brings energy, expertise, and a positive attitude to every project.

What sets Craig apart is his ability to really listen, he takes the time to understand each client’s needs, lifestyle, and vision, then translates that into a kitchen design that’s both beautiful and practical. His attention to detail and creative thinking ensure every kitchen is tailored perfectly from the inside out.

Around the office, Craig is known for his approachable nature, team spirit, and willingness to go the extra mile, whether for a customer or a colleague.

Outside of work, Craig loves the outdoors, often caravaning around Australia with his family.

Garry Smart – Design Consultant

Over the years, he’s helped countless clients transform their kitchen dreams into reality, blending practical solutions with timeless design. Garry understands that the kitchen is the heart of the home, and he’s dedicated to crafting spaces that reflect each client’s unique lifestyle and taste.

Known for his thoughtful approach and meticulous attention to detail, Garry ensures the design process is smooth and enjoyable from beginning to end. He listens carefully, offers trusted guidance, and leaves no stone unturned to get everything just right.
