Welcome to Our 2026 Winter Quarterly Update
There’s something I’ve always loved about winter. The pace feels a little slower, the evenings a little quieter, and somehow, it’s the season that makes people think most seriously about their homes. About how they want to feel in them. About what they’d change. And after many years of building kitchens, I can tell you, some of the most beautiful projects we’ve ever created began with a winter conversation.
This year, that feeling means even more to me. The world feels a little uncertain right now. Rising fuel costs off the back of global unrest have pushed inflation and interest rates in ways that are putting real pressure on families, and I don’t take that lightly. But what I’ve seen, time and again across three decades in business, is that Australians are remarkably resilient. We look after each other, we find a way through, and we come out stronger on the other side. I genuinely believe that.
Here at Harrington Kitchens, our experience has taught us to navigate these conditions well, and a great deal of that comes down to the relationships we’ve built with our suppliers over many, many years. Those partnerships don’t happen overnight. They’re built on trust, consistency, and mutual respect, and in times like these, they make all the difference in business and to our clients. I’m deeply grateful for every one of them.
What keeps me going, if I’m honest, is the same thing it’s always been, our customers. Seeing a family walk into their finished kitchen for the first time. Hearing that it’s exceeded what they imagined. Knowing that our team delivered on every promise. That never gets old, not after one year, and certainly not after thirty.
Speaking of thirty, I’m thrilled to share that Harrington Kitchens’ story is featured in the latest issue of Highlife Magazine. It’s a wonderful piece that reflects on where we’ve come from and the values that have guided us every step of the way. I’d love for you to read it. You’ll find it at your local news agency, Harris Farm Markets, or online.
What's Old Is New Again: Kitchen Design Trends
If you loved the kitchens of the late eighties and early nineties, you’re going to love what’s happening in design right now. Curved islands, curved rangehoods, and beaded panels are making a stunning comeback, reimagined with a fresh, modern sensibility that feels both nostalgic and completely of the moment.
To celebrate these trends, we’ve just completed a beautiful new kitchen display in our Bowral showroom that brings all of these elements together. You really do need to see it in person. Pop in and let it inspire you.
Kitchen Benchtop Edge Profiles: How to Pick the Perfect One
When you’re planning a kitchen renovation, the big decisions: cabinetry, stone, colour tend to take centre stage. But it’s often the smaller details that make the biggest difference. Benchtop edge profiles are one of those details most people never think about until they see them done beautifully.
Our latest blog walks you through the different edge profiles available, what suits different styles, and how to make the right choice for your kitchen. It’s the kind of detail that separates a good kitchen from a great one.

Designer Kitchens: Secrets to a High-End Look
Ever walked into a kitchen and felt that it just had something, a polish, a presence, without being able to put your finger on exactly why? Chances are that a few quiet design decisions were working very hard behind the scenes.
Our designers have put together their inside guide to achieving that high-end look, the kind of tips they don’t always give away easily. Whether you’re mid-renovation or just starting to dream, this one is worth a read.
Project Spotlight: Timeless Classic Kitchen, Bundanoon
Renovating a heritage home is never straightforward. It takes vision, patience, and a real commitment to honouring the character of a space while gently bringing it into the present. This beautiful cottage in Bundanoon was exactly that kind of project, full of charm and waiting to be brought back to life.
The result speaks for itself.
“We were genuinely blown away by the level of customer service from Harrington Kitchens. From design right through to installation, communication was consistent. Not to mention, the quality of the kitchen exceeded our expectations. We still can’t believe it’s ours!” — Liam, Bundanoon
