Hello and welcome to our Winter 2025 Newsletter!
Winter is here – and you know what that means… cozy nights, warm mugs of tea, hearty meals in the kitchen, and yes, frozen fingers while I type this update!
Before I dive into what’s been happening at Harrington Kitchens, I wanted to share something a little more personal. In just a few weeks, I’m finally ticking off a long-standing bucket list item. A trip to Uluru with my beautiful wife Fionanda and a few close friends. I’ve always dreamed of experiencing Uluru in person, not just for its breathtaking natural beauty, but for its deep cultural and spiritual significance. I’m truly looking forward to slowing down, soaking it all in, and recharging after what has already been a big year.
And speaking of big things…
Falling interest rates are offering some much-needed relief to homeowners, and with the Australian federal election now behind us, we’re hopeful for a steadier and more settled second half of the year.
We’re also noticing a real buzz happening in our own backyard. The Western Sydney Airport is coming together quickly, and it’s already having a big impact across our local area, especially in the building and renovation space. We’ve felt that surge at Harrington Kitchens, inquiries have been coming in thick and fast! To keep up, we’ve been growing our team and making a few exciting changes behind the scenes.
Staff Updates
We’ve recently welcomed several new team members, including Marco, our newest Sales & Design Consultant. Marco combines design expertise with hands-on experience, working closely with clients to create kitchens that are beautiful, functional, and practical. His time on the factory floor gives him unique insight into materials and construction, ensuring designs come to life seamlessly. Around the office, his warm smile and positive attitude have already made him a favourite among the team. Keep an eye out for more introductions in the months ahead.
As any business grows, one thing becomes clear: great teams need great leaders. With that in mind, we’re proud to announce a well-deserved promotion within our team.
Craig’s been part of the Harrington Kitchens family for over 16 years, and he’s one of those people who just makes everything run smoother. Clients love him, the team trusts him, and now he’s officially taken the role of Sales Manager & Design Consultant. He brings warmth, calm confidence, and a can-do attitude to everything he does. Whether he’s helping a client bring their dream kitchen to life or guiding and supporting our growing team, Craig leads with heart, integrity, and a passion for doing things the right way. I’m so proud to see him step into this well-deserved leadership role. He’s the perfect person to help guide the next chapter of Harrington Kitchens.
Recent Kitchen Trends
Across the industry, we’re seeing exciting product innovations as well. Stone benchtop manufacturers are now launching a variety of new silica-free colour options. These new products are designed to reduce the risks associated with silica dust exposure during cutting and fabrication, making them a safer choice for both manufacturers and installers. It’s a shift we fully support, and one we’re embracing as part of our commitment to health and safety.
Caesarstone has recently released its new 2025 collection, and the latest YDL Mineral range is also here. Our design team has been busy exploring these new styles and building fresh concepts around them, and we can’t wait to share the results with you.
If you’re curious about benchtops and want to better understand your options, I highly recommend you explore our kitchen benchtop page. It includes guidance on choosing the right surface, information on popular benchtop edging styles, and a helpful FAQ section to answer your most common questions.
If you’d like to see these materials in person, including the new launches, I’d love to welcome you to one of our kitchen showrooms in Narellan or Bowral. You’ll also find plenty of inspiration in our online gallery, where you can browse some of our most recent kitchen designs.
In This Edition…
I’ve also rounded up a couple of blog posts that I think you’ll find helpful if you’re planning a kitchen reno anytime soon.
First up, if you’ve ever wondered what a kitchen renovation might actually cost, check out our post on Kitchen Renovation Costs. It does a great job explaining the difference between a renovation and a remodel, and gives you a clearer idea of how to budget based on your goals. Worth a read before you dive into a Kitchen Renovation.
Another post I really enjoyed was What’s the Best Lighting for Your Kitchen? Lighting is one of those things you don’t always think about straight away, but it can make a huge difference. This post breaks down different lighting options, how warm or cool tones can change the feel of your space, and how to light your kitchen based on the layout. I learned a few things myself!
As I reflect on my journey with Harrington Kitchens, it’s amazing to see how far kitchen design has come. Every detail matters — and we’re always learning and evolving to deliver spaces that feel just right.
If you’re after a little inspiration, take a scroll through our Kitchen Design Gallery. You’ll find plenty of ideas from some of our most recent projects, all custom-designed and built with care.
