Welcome to Our 2026 Autumn Quarterly Update

Wow! What a start to the year! I’ve been genuinely touched by how many clients have chosen to begin their kitchen refresh with us this quarter. It feels like a wonderful way to celebrate our 30 years in business, and I’m thrilled to be diving into another year of helping people create kitchens that truly feel like home.

Looking back, it’s incredible to think how it all began. I started Harrington Kitchens 30 years ago with one simple idea: to craft beautiful, functional kitchens that bring people together. From that very first kitchen to the thriving business we have today, every project has been guided by care, attention to detail, and a love for making spaces where memories are made. Knowing that we’re continuing that legacy with every new kitchen makes the start of this year feel really special.

As we move through these new projects, I’m noticing a growing love for warmer tones, natural timber accents, and our Brush Hand Painted finish. Each choice is a nod to the craftsmanship we’ve always stood for, creating spaces that are not just functional, but truly welcoming, the kind of kitchens where families gather, stories are shared, and memories are made.

Our designers, Craig and Nicole, have spotted some exciting directions shaping 2026 kitchen trends. Timber islands are making a strong comeback, engineered stone is slimming down to sleek 20mm profiles, warmer tones from creams to rich earth shades are taking centre stage, and lighting is becoming more intentional. Whether it’s a statement pendant or subtle feature lights that really bring a space to life.

What I love about this guide is how easy it is to see what’s in and what’s out, helping homeowners make choices that are both stylish and timeless.

And here’s a little secret, some of these trends will be making an appearance in our Bowral Kitchen Showroom revamp. I’m not supposed to say too much… but let’s just say it’s going to be pretty special!

Something else we’ve been talking about a lot with clients lately is kitchen flooring, and it’s no surprise. One of my favourite parts of what we do is spending time in our clients’ homes and seeing how their new kitchens come to life. It’s always such a joy to watch families gather around a kitchen island, share a meal, or simply enjoy the space we’ve created together.
