Hello and welcome to the Summer 2023 edition of the Harrington Kitchens newsletter and quarterly update.
It’s hard to believe how quickly this year has gone! We’ve arrived at that wonderful (but busy!) time of year – where things gear up, before they wind down! Hopefully your diary is filling up with fun things to do. So far the weather is being relatively kind with cooler temperatures and a bit of rain. It’s perfect for lots of outdoor holiday events and catch ups and hopefully to keep the ground a little greener and less fire prone than previous years.
There’s no denying that it’s been a tough year economically. The steady increases in interest rates and inflation puts increased pressure on household budgets, and consequently the building of new homes has slowed across the country. Thankfully, the renovation market in New South Wales remains relatively strong.
Thankfully, there are no issues with material supply at the moment. So, if you are looking to add a new kitchen to your home in the new year, now is the time to get in touch and book a consultation with our team and start the process!
It’s so interesting to notice the popular design choices that our clients make, and how that can change over time. We’re still seeing lots and lots of colour being chosen for the kitchens that we are working on – everything from soft blues and greens, to dramatic greys and dark timber.

Did you know that our manufacturing facility in Narellan includes a paint shop too? That’s right. All of our custom-made kitchens are not only designed, cut and constructed in Narellan, but painted there too. In this edition of the Harrington Kitchens newsletter, we are excited to introduce you to Michael Kyle. Michael has been the manager in our paint shop, and an integral part of the HK team, for many, many years and we thought it was well overdue that you met him (at least electronically anyway!).
In other exciting news, our Narellan showroom upgrades are coming along very nicely. We’ve got installations happening through December with the finishing touches to be complete in January. We’d love for you to come in for a visit and see the transformation in progress!
We’ll be taking a short break over the holiday period. Our Narellan and Bowral showrooms will close from midday on Friday 22 December 2023 and will re-open from Monday 8 January 2024. We wish you and your loved ones and happy and safe holiday season!
